5000 Number of traditional corporate telephone lines replaced each day with voice-over-IP (VoIP) by just one equipment maker, Cisco.

100 000 Number of residential Internet telephone subscribers to services such as Vonage, VoicePulse, and Packet 8 in North America as of November 2003.

2 700 000 Number of subscribers who use VoIP services from a single Japanese Internet service provider, Yahoo BB, as of October 2003.

10 000 000 Number of cable telephony users today. VoIP, but a fraction now, will in-creasingly dominate cable telephony.
