IEEE Spectrum Forecasters

Help IEEE Spectrum predict the future

SpectrumForecasterF1150px We need your help and input. IEEE Spectrum is forming a new online panel of technology professionals that we are calling "IEEE Spectrum Forecasters." No matter what your area of technology, where you live, or your career stage, we would like your participation. Your input will allow us to gather and then share intelligence with others. This is your opportunity to help IEEE Spectrum understand where the world is going. If you are interested, please take just a few minutes to answer some questions so we know a bit more about you and your interests and knowledge. Click here to go to the sign up page.

What will we do with this information?

As we work on articles, we will look for panelists who match the technology focus and ask them to contribute their opinions and predictions. We also plan to use panelists to periodically provide their opinions on emerging technologies. We will use the information gathered to further the mission of IEEE by contributing to articles, products, and/or services. All information will be confidential and only reported in aggregate.

What won't we do?

We will never mention an individual by name unless we obtain specific prior permission. For example, we will not quote you in an article, without your permission.

How often will we ask for your help?

This will be variable and be based on our editorial schedule and ongoing IEEE projects. We imagine you will be asked to provide your opinion and predictions at least twice a year. At any time, you may unsubscribe to our requests.

What is the time commitment?

Our aim is to make your participation rewarding and not boring. You should expect to spend 5 to 10 minutes on each request we make. Although we encourage you to respond to all our requests, we understand that your time will not always permit this.

How will I know when I need to answer questions?

We will send you an email with a link to a URL. You will receive questions based on your area of expertise and interest so we ask that you do not share the URL.

Who do I contact with questions?

Please contact with any questions or comments.
