Express Scripts Offers $1 Million Reward for Info on Extortionist

As I noted in an earlier post, an extortionist threatened the medical benefits manager Express Scripts in a letter in early October with the public exposure of millions of its confidential patient records .

Last week, Express Script announced that some of the companies that use its services have also received anonymous letters threatening to expose the personal information of patients such as names, dates of birth and Social Security numbers.

The company said that along with notifying the FBI, that it, "was establishing a reward totaling $1 million for the person or persons who provide information resulting in the arrest and conviction of those responsible for these criminal acts."
