You have until 6 May 2019 to submit a nomination for the IEEE Educational Activities Board (EAB) Awards, which recognize major contributions to engineering and technical education. Nominations are sought for the following awards and scholarships:
Meritorious Achievement Award in Accreditation Activities—for members whose efforts foster the maintenance and improvement of education through the accreditation process.
Meritorious Achievement Award in Continuing Education—for members who have made contributions to the design, delivery, and support of continuing education courses and programs in IEEE’s fields of interest.
Meritorious Achievement Award in Outreach and Informal Education—recognizes members, who volunteer time and effort for the informal education community, and highlight the benefit that their work provides to teachers, students, parents, and the public.
Meritorious Achievement Award in Pre-University Education -- recognizes individuals for work in a pre-university school or those that influence school-based activities for pre-university students.
Major Education Innovation Award—for members whose educational innovations have had a major impact and have been emulated by others.
Meritorious Service Citation—recognizes those dedicated IEEE Educational Activities volunteers who have given outstanding and sustained service to support the objectives of the EAB.
Educational Activities Board (EAB)/ Standards Association (SA) Board of Governors Standards Education Award—recognizes individuals, groups or organizations who support the importance of standards education.
Employer Professional Development Award—for organizations that provide outstanding continuing education as evidenced by their quality, comprehensiveness, innovation, or impact.
Society/Council Professional Development Award—recognizes major contributions to the professional development of its members through the provision of outstanding products, services and support in the areas of lifelong learning, continuing education, and professional development.
Section Professional Development Award—for the development of outstanding products and services supporting the continuing education and professional development of their members.
IEEE Life Members Graduate Study Fellowship in Electrical Engineering—awarded annually to a first year, full-time graduate student for work in the area of electrical engineering at a school/program of recognized standing worldwide.
Charles LeGeyt Fortescue Scholarship—awarded annually for one year of full-time graduate work in electrical engineering at an engineering school of recognized standing located in the US.
Additionally, nominations are being accepted for IEEE-Eta Kappa Nu Awards. These awards from IEEE’s honor society, include Outstanding Young Professional, C. Holmes MacDonald Outstanding Teaching, and Distinguished Service awards.
