Riding a bicycle through busy city streets in broad daylight is fraught with peril, while at night, cyclists taking to the streets are taking their lives in their hands. But Zach Vorhies, a former Google software engineer, has come up with something to turn the odds in bike riders’ favor. His Zackees turn-signal safety gloves make pedalers more noticeable. Pressing two tabs between the thumb and forefinger causes an LED array on the glove to light up, letting drivers know that the cyclist intends to make a turn.
