SPECTRUM WEBCASTS
Multiphysics Simulation
June 2009 - Available on Demand.
Learn how multiphysics simulations enable innovative technology organizations to advance their product development beyond the ordinary. This webinar introduces you to a wide range of challenging design problems that are solved by applying multiphysics modeling and simulation techniques. A hands-on tutorial demonstrates the work-flow in the design of a MEMS device including the coupling of electromagnetic, structural mechanics, and heat transfer phenomena in the same simulation.
A major challenge in coupling acoustic transducers to microfluidic systems is determining the optimal parameters for efficient energy transfer while achieving the proper acoustic field profiles. Such technology permits the remote manipulation of biological fluids, particles, and the interface for a wide variety of sample preparation applications. Using COMSOL Multiphysics, several models have been developed to predict acoustic transducer behavior and their coupling to complex microchannel systems.
