Australia's Web Filtering Plans Take Another Hit

The Australian is reporting that iiNet, Australia's third largest ISP, was pulling out of the Australian government's pilot project to try to filter the Internet.

The Australian says that iiNet blamed "drawn-out negotiations with the Department of Broadband, Communications and the Digital Economy, constant changes in policy, and last week's leak of a secret internet blacklist."

The government says that all this was news to them.

The ISPs who originally agreed to participate in the filtering pilots say they have no plans to withdraw, reports The Australian.
