Aqaba is a city of 110,000 that sits on the Red Sea in Jordan. Residents get their water from the nearby Disi aquifer. While the rest of Jordan gets a few hours of water service a week, Aqaba’s supply is uninterrupted. That’s thanks to a computer-controlled water infrastructure and a new artificial intelligence system that will soon manage most of it.
