About the Author
Meredith Ringel Morris is a researcher in the Adaptive Systems and Interaction Group at Microsoft Research, where she studies human-computer interaction and computer-supported cooperative work. She is also an affiliate assistant professor of computer science and engineering at the University of Washington. Morris received her Ph.D. in computer science from Stanford University; her dissertation introduced interaction techniques and user-interface designs for computer-augmented tabletops.
